Joe Johnston on Cap casting choice

Earthsmightiest.com just posted an exclusive interview with Joe Johnston asking him to talk about why he chose Chris Evans to play ol' wing head.

"Casting Captain America is really casting two roles...Steve Rogers before and after the transformation from 98 pound weakling to perfect physical specimen. I can't divulge how we're going to do it, but the performance will be Chris Evans from beginning to end."

Personally I'm up in the air about this one, but I'm leaning towards it being a good casting choice. Evans was fantastic in Danny Boyle's "Sunshine" and was easily the stand out star as Johnny Storm in the two mediocre Fantastic Four films. We recently saw Evans at a panel for his upcoming flick "The Losers" and you can easily tell he already started to bulk up to play the first avenger. I'm extremely interested in seeing the first pictures of him holding the shield.
